With the help of an experienced coach, Daniel only has two days to master each traditional sport before he competes with the champion. Whether it’s zipping through waters at 100mph in a long tail boat in Thailand, trying to stay on a wild cow for a village race in Indonesia, or speeding down a steep hill on an engineless wooden scooter in the Philippines, Daniel is always up for a challenge and ready to race!
Daniel is an adventurous and outgoing 20-year old, Malaysian-British Professional Car Racer and has started his career since the tender age of 12 in karting before working his way up to Formula BMW. He is also a current offer holder for a 2016 placement at Southampton University, United Kingdom, to study Mechanical Engineering. When he is not racing, he plays tennis, practises Muay Thai and jogs to keep up to his fitness regime. Apart from racing and hosting, he is also into developing new apps for mobile devices. His passion for racing was what had landed him the role as the host for GOASEAN’s Go Fast Or Go Home (Season 1) show.
Daniel heads to the ancient city of Ayutthaya, Thailand to take on the country’s beast of rivers, the Long-tail Boat. Souped up with a motorcycle engine, these boats can go up to 100 miles per hour. Daniel trains to master the sport in a local village for two days before he faces off against a fierce local champion. Will Daniel make it to the finish line? Will he go fast or just go home?
Daniel takes on two raging beasts in the traditional race of Pacu Jawi in Padang, Indonesia. In this race, jockeys try to stay on for as long as they can, as two cows drag them in a straight line through a muddy paddy field. Daniel trains with a local champion, who teaches him to not only race the cows, but to overcome a secret fear. Will Daniel be able to tame these wild beasts? Or will he end up dragging his good name through the mud?
