Explore Krabi Town

Krabi Town is the spearhead of Thailand’s reputed Krabi province, and—contrary to popular belief—is not an island on its own. It stands as one of Thailand’s defining tourism hubs, attracting an endless stream of visitors throughout the year. This is evident from the large number of hotels and guesthouses that are scattered throughout the region. Despite this influx, Krabi Town still safeguards a large part of its natural and cultural heritages, retaining its rustic and timeless charm.

    To Eat

If spiced rice with tender pieces of chicken sounds like something that you would fancy, khao mok gai is the dish for you. Essentially a Thai rendition of chicken briyani rice, this largely yellow dish is both striking in appearance and flavour. It incorporates the notes of various spices and herbs—such as cinnamon and cardamom—to ensure that each juicy bite of chicken and rice is packed with a delectable punch. The fact that the chicken is usually marinated for hours on end to create this dish also means that you are promised a potent serving of flavour.
