  • Fort San Pedro

    Once a prominent defensive structure of Cebu City, Fort San Pedro stands today as a major landmark in the region’s landscape. This triangular construct played a vital role during the rule of the Philippines by the Spanish conquistadors, and it is named after the ship that brought the reported founder of Cebu, Miguel Lopez de Legazpi, to the Philippines. Some of its original cannons can still be found around its vicinity, alongside other traces of its past.

  • Tops Lookout


    Tops Lookout


    To Do

    Tops Lookout is the place to be if catching stellar views of Cebu City is on your list of things to do. Resting at 600 metres above the level of Cebu City, this spot is best visited at sunset, as it allows you to enjoy the sight of Cebu City’s nightlife coming to life.   • Taoist Temple

    The Taoist Temple is a commanding and colourful structure that was built in 1972 by Cebu City’s sizeable Chinese community. It is hard to miss with its elaborate rooftops that are reminiscent of pagodas in China. Aside from being a pivotal place of worship for Taoists, the temple also receives a steady flow of visitors due to the scenic view of Cebu City that it provides, as well as the reproduction of the Great Wall of China that it houses.

    Lechon refers to a whole pig that is skewered and roasted using charcoal, and there is no better place to enjoy it than in Cebu City. It is said to be the home of some of the best lechon makers in the Philippines, which explains why a large variety of lechon preparations can be found around the city. Local favourites include Ayer’s Lechon and Tatang’s Lechon Belly.

This Cebuano street food favourite features pig intestines that are chopped up before being drizzled with salt and deep-fried until crispy.
